MEET OUR PRESIDENT
JAMELLAH OWENS, President
Jamellah Owens has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for 18 years. Her passion for early childhood education involves supporting both children, families and their educators who have a direct impact on their success during the early learning years. Jamellah hold’s Bachelors of Science (B.S) degree in Family Science from The University of Maryland and a Masters of Education(M.Ed) in Early Childhood with a concentration in Program Administration from Towson University. Most recently she has obtained a Graduate certificate in Learning Design and Technology.
Her passion and desire to help others grow, learn and become leaders in their respective fields is what let her to create Growing to Lead Education Consulting. She takes pride in creating innovative approaches to include the use of technology implementation in day to day operations.

From parenting and building skills workshops, to staff professional development days, she has a proven track record in providing exemplary service to support community organizations in the Education and Technology industries.
Successfully assisted 23 licensed child care programs across the state of Maryland achieve Maryland Accreditation
training
Growing to Lead specializes in providing state approved training for licensed child care centers in DC/MD/VA. Through our training organization teachers and staff will have the opportunity to participate in high quality training from certified experts in the early learning community. Through hands-on and knowledge based courses, participants will learn new skills and best practices that will provide them with the understanding to improve in their daily work with young children and their families. Implementation services will be available for interested programs.
